Two questions change the answer completely
Acetone is U002 if it is unused product being discarded, and F003 if it has been used as a solvent and is spent. Same chemical, different code, different treatment standard. This tool asks rather than guessing, and it shows you the condition on every code it suggests. It cannot make the determination for you: under 40 CFR 262.11 that is the generator's job.
Why It Depends
Candidate codes, not a determination.
40 CFR 262.11 puts the waste determination on the generator, who may make it by applying knowledge of the waste in light of the materials and the process used, or by testing. This tool cross-references validated federal data and shows the condition on each candidate code. It does not know your concentration, your process, your state codes, or your receiving facility's restrictions, and authorized states are frequently stricter than the federal program.
